Kayak Hitch Receiver

Postby webs1981 » Wed May 25, 2016 10:38 am

Good Afternoon-

I was hoping I might be able to get some suggestions/insight on a Pick-up truck bed hitch extender for my kayak.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on any brand? I want it obviously to be durable, and a reputable hitch extender as well.

Thank you so much in advance!

I don't have any personal experience with this unit but I've talked to a handfull of guys that had nothing but positive things to say about its quality.

If you have a welder, or a friend with a welder, you could very well fab one up for much less, and probably more durable.

Hello my first post:

I just bought a Hobie Tandem Island for Lake Michigan salmon and Trout...and all other lakes...

When i was testing one of the TI at Heritage harbor, I asked the guy if i can take it back to the store in my truck. He connected his extended hitch he got from Farm and Fleet to my truck and i brought it back...I have a Ford f250 with an 8 foot bed, but really 6 foot because of my 2 foot of tool box space i couldn't get the Hobie under...but here's the link to Farm and Fleet...I just checked and they have 2 in Stock at Montgomery IL store and there $139.00...they hold up to 750 LB rated...

Hope this helps... :D
